Ella

I have noticed a tenderness in my oldest. She is socially a little akward but there is such a sweet little spirit in there. A very dear friend of mine has two children in glasses. They are basically cross eyed. They recently had surgery to have this problem corrected. Ella has not seen her friend Caitlin since Christmas but still talks about her often. It is like not a day has passed. I mentioned to Ella the other day that Caitlin got her eyes fixed. She looked at me with tears in her little eyes and said, "oh mom I am so happy". Then that night in her prayers she thanked HEavenly Father for her best friend Caitlin and that she could "have a nice nice dr to fix her eyes for her". Every night since she prays that her eyes will stay fixed. It is these moments as a mom that I learn so much from my children. She didnt see it as the drs job she saw as the drs privaledge. When the scriptures teach us to be as little children it spot on. I am so proud to be her mother. What a neat little lady she is.

I am officially old

A couple of days ago Ella noticed that she had a couple of loose teeth. She has been looking for them for quite some time now. One of the kids at school had lost a tooth and talked about the money that the tooth fairy had left behind. Man she wanted to lose a tooth. It was like a right of passage for her. She was so cute about it. Well last night while lying in bed she played with them enough that they came out. She brought those teeth out to us and tucked them right underneath her pillow. She had no problem at all going asleep after that. This morning when she awoke the tooth fairy had taken her teeth and put two 1$ bills in their place. I was not here for it. I was at work already but I hear there was a commotion like none other. I cant believe my little girl lost 2 teeth! It just doesnt feel like she is old enough. It seems like before long she will be getting baptized and then go to High School and get married and have babies. It just isnt right. She is still talking about it and I am sure it will be BIG news in our house for quite some time.

Breil turns 3!!!

This boy LOVES cake! I wanted to buy him a cake but he found some cupcakes that he insisted so that is what we had. Clearly the frosting is his favorite part.
My mom came up for Breils bday. She had been in Galveston the previous weekend and picked up hats for Ella and Breil. They put Ellas on Harlees head. She is so cute...and yes...she always has her fingers in her mouth.

The boy loves his superheros!

He got this cool scooter. Grandpa bought one for Ella and the kids scoot all around the place. It is a super fun toy!

and more..

Calvin Klein better watch out for these boys!
For Katys 16th I wrapped 16 candy bars in 16 one dollar bills and put them in a box. Then I wrapped the box 16 times. It was so funny to watch her go layer by layer. She was a good sport about the whole thing.

My aunt Becky also came up from San Antonio with her daughter Lauren. I know it meant a lot to Daniel to have her there. Lauren and Ella play real well topgether so I know they loved it.

More Daniel

I am still learning how to use this site. My bad guys. Here are the rest of the photos from Daniels farewell weekend. David is Daniels best friend. They have been best friends since 5th grade I believe. David is a part of our family. In fact, my Bman the other day called him Uncle David so that is how he will be referred to from here on out. This weekend was also my nana Clantons 70th birthday so we also celebrated that along with Katys 16th! It was crazy but it was loads of fun!

Daniel

In February my brother Daniel left on his mission for our church. He is in Idaho Falls, ID right now. He is doing so well. These are just some pictures from we went down to FW to say goodbye. The boy made me sing at church. I shall never forgive him for this! :)

Happy Easter

This is a new blog for me so be patient as I get it going. So this Easter came way too fast for me. All in one week we had my sister come to visit, my birthday, Bmans birthday, Easter, Spring Break and Jared was in Las Vegas for a photography convention. I felt like the whole holiday was just kind of thrown at me. We did, however, have a very nice time. Instead of tradional baskets that I would either have to throw away or store I used Hampers. My mother in law bought the kids hampers a couple of Christmas's ago and they are getting all torn up so I thought we would replace them and stuff them with their goodies. Well, Breil was so excited but Ella was so confused. She did not think it was right that the Easter bunny brought her something different. Ha! It was still real fun. We had a lot of fun hunting eggs and decorating and just all sorts of things. I think my favorite part though was the discussion we had over dinner. Breil asked why the "bad guys" put nails in Jesus' hand. He was super concerned. It brought on a wonderful discussion on the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the real purpose for Easter. The kids were enthralled as we talked about it. It was one of those moments as a mother I will never forget and will always cherish. I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! We love you all!
